I\u2019m Elizabeth, from Real Spanish, and a keen learner of Spanish, like you.<\/p>\n<p>I collect interesting and useful Spanish phrases \u2014 sometimes several in one day, in a film, a podcast, a newspaper, or just a normal conversation with Spanish speakers. It\u2019s become a bit of a hobby. I live in Barcelona, so I have plenty of source material.<\/p>\n<p>Spanish is wonderfully expressive, and you can add loads of colour and authenticity to your own speech with a good repertoire of vivid, colloquial phrases. They really help you string your ideas together and say what you actually mean. The expressions in this video lesson all use the word <em>nariz<\/em> <em>(or narices<\/em>). Antonio walks you through ten colourful idioms you\u2019ll hear all the time from native speakers: from <em>meter las narices en algo<\/em>, very similar to the English expression\u00a0 \u201cto stick your nose in someone\u2019s business\u201d to <em>\u00a1Estoy hasta las narices!<\/em> (I\u2019ve had it up to here!).
