I\u2019m Antonio, a teacher with Real Spanish. Do you know the expression \u00absalir de rositas\u00bb?\u00a0 It means someone has done something to earn a punishment or a scolding, such as a child\u2019s prank, but doesn\u2019t receive blame or punishment.<\/p>\n<p>Another expression with \u00absalir\u00bb is \u00absalirse con la suya\u00bb. For example, listen to this conversation between Antonio and Celia, leaving a restaurant.<\/p>\n<p>Antonio: I don\u2019t want to go out for dinner with that couple ever again. She\u2019s a real pain, always wants to argue about something.<\/p>\n<p>Celia: Well, you\u2019re right, tonight she just wouldn\u2019t stop complaining.<\/p>\n<p>Antonio: First she doesn\u2019t eat pizza because she doesn\u2019t eat bread, next she doesn\u2019t like Mexican food, then the bar on the corner is really tacky\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Celia: The rest of us wanted to go to Pedro\u2019s bar but in the end she got her own way, as usual.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abSalir\u00bb has many other uses.
