\nToday I am going to explain to you some expressions with the word \u00abtiro\u00bb, which usually means \u201ca shot\u201d from a pistol or shotgun.<\/span><\/p>\n

Related to this meaning we have the expression \u00absalir el tiro por la culata\u00bb, that is, to obtain the opposite result to what was expected. <\/span><\/p>\n

Have you ever heard someone say, \u00abme sienta o me cae como un tiro\u00bb? It means that something makes you feel very bad. <\/span><\/p>\n

The expression \u00abpor ah\u00ed van los tiros\u00bb means “Yes, you got it right.” But it is used more in a negative sense: \u00abPor ah\u00ed no van los tiros\u00bb, which means “You didn’t understand well” or “That’s not what I mean”. <\/span><\/p>\n

We also say\u00ab ni a tiros \u00bbto express that we cannot or do not want to do something in any way, at all. <\/span><\/p>\n

But be careful not to mix up \u00abtiro\u00bb with \u00abtir\u00f3n\u00bb, because \u00abhacer algo del tir\u00f3n\u00bb means “to do something all in one go”. <\/span><\/p>\n
