Some expressions with \u00abhuevos\u00bb are quite vulgar, because the word can also refer to &#8220;testicles&#8221; or &#8220;balls&#8221;. Today I\u2019ll explain some colloquial uses of the word \u00abhuevo\u00bb. Some of these expressions are quite vulgar, because in colloquial language \u00abhuevos\u00bb can mean \u201ctesticles\u201d or \u201cballs\u201d, so be careful how you use them!<\/p>\n<p>Have you heard the expression \u00abMe importa un huevo\u00bb? It means \u201cI don\u2019t care\u201d or \u201cI don\u2019t give a shit.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In Mexico \u00aba huevo has two meanings, depending on the context. It can be a strong yes, or the equivalent of \u201cYou bet!\u201d For example,<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00bfDe verdad vas a aceptar ese trabajo? Tendr\u00e1s que viajar mucho\u00bb. (Are you really going to accept that job? You\u2019ll have to travel a lot.)<\/p>\n<p>\u00abA huevo, no puedo perderme tal oportunidad.\u00bb (You bet I am, I\u2019m not going to miss such an opportunity.)<\/p>\n<p>It can also mean \u00abpase lo que pase\u00bb (no matter what). For example, \u00abTengo que terminar este proyecto para el viernes, a huevo\u00bb (I have\u00ab to finish this project by Friday, no matter what (or, come hell or high water).<\/p>\n<p>In Spain, \u00aba huevo\u00bb means \u00aba tiro\u00bb or \u00abalcance\u00bb (it\u2019s easy, a piece of cake, a walk in the park). For example, \u00abTe has preparado muy bien la entrevista y ya conoces al jefe, vas a conseguir el trabajo seguro, lo tienes a huevo\u00bb (You are well prepared for the interview and you already know the boss, so it\u2019s a piece of cake for you).<\/p>\n<p>There are so many expressions with \u00abhuevo\u00bb that we have created a mini-lesson on the topic.
