The four lessons in this course are based on clips from Cuéntame cómo pasó, a popular, prizewinning series from Televisión Española (TVE). We meet the Alcántara, a working-class family living in Madrid in the 60s, when times were hard and although society was changing, the Catholic Church still had enormous power, and contraception was available only on the black market.
